When paranormal lures investigators

Have up you ever felt drawn to living in a certain house?

Do you think incessantly about investigating a specific location?

Do you have repetitive weird, very real dreams that make you feel like you have been somewhere else?

Have you seen an entity and cannot get it out of your head?

Let’s face it, investigating the supernatural is interesting. It takes us to unique places and lets us put puzzles together. It combines history and the unknown. The possibilities are endless. Paranormal investigation stimulates the mind and gives you a body rush. You get an endorphin dose from engaging an entity. Adrenaline spikes. It gives you a ‘high’ so to speak.

Far from the kook fringe, investigating the paranormal is a very worthy job. It matters and is furthering our knowledge about the afterlife, ET’s, parasites, thought forms, and even other universes. Researchers should always be aware that that there are both good and bad elements in the supernatural. Either can lure you to a location or into interaction.

If you are lucky, it is a benevolent spirit who wants to communicate. Sometimes they want to tell their story, give comfort to family left behind, or help solve an old crime. What may at first come across as a scary haunting may just been Aunt Teresa coming around to let you know she is all right. These spirits are persistent and will keep trying to interact until they get their message across. They will take up your energy and batteries, but it isn’t malicious. Of course these are the best cases where you give people comfort and may even solve a crime.

On the other hand, dark entities will seduce you into coming to a property or interacting with them. They feed that way. Their purpose is to cause you harm. Because of this, they typically don’t reveal who they really are right up front. It takes time. They will give away bits of information to keep you coming back to them, but they never give you the truth. Information will be inconsistent. They want you so invested in dealing with them that they may give you compliments or even warnings which appear to help you avoid a problem.

Yet with time, this changes. You will feel anxiety if you are not interacting. Some have described the feeling as that of being desperate. You HAVE to go back. You MUST get information. You are obsessed. Such entities can reach into your dreams, your subconscious. They will engage you there and interrupt your sleep to draw you back.

You feel compelled to interact again.

Most cannot explain why they are so obsessed. They just are. The fact is that the entity was luring you using manipulation. They will give you signs and reminders to go back to the haunted location. They will keep performing ‘parlor tricks’ to get your attention. You won’t be left alone.

If you are in this situation, you must separate yourself from that haunting. It is for your own safety. You have to force yourself to give it up and make sure you take care of yourself. You can detach from it. Some investigators have developed extreme anxiety after such a case. It can impact your mental health.

You can encounter just about anything when you are out there investigating. I’m sure you were already aware of that. But sometimes even the most experienced investigators can get in over their heads quickly. The dark entities don’t play fair, and by the time you may realize something is wrong, you are already too far in. You might not realize that your excitement and passion has turned into something else.

Always pay attention to your own mind and what is happening in your life. If you ever get to the point where you say ‘it can’t happen to me,’ that’s when you will likely be attacked.
