When you examine paranormal cases and look for patterns, you can profile characteristics of activity. To study it, you look at three time frames:
Before the activity. During the activity. After the activity.
In examining the before phase, one common thread we find is a sound. Immediately before a paranormal event, there will be a crackling sound. People describe it as sounding like when a person gets an electrical shock. There is a very short period of time, and then paranormal activity occurs.
Crackling sound and then paranormal. What activity might happen?
First, you may see an apparition. A ghost can appear right in front of you. Witnesses have described seeing a ghost materialize before their very eyes. The apparition is transparent and often people cannot see the entire figure. Part of the body will be missing.
Next, you may feel as if you are being touched. Some describe this as a pleasant experience, like a tinging sensation. There are even people who claim to have sex with spirits and say it is the best sex they ever had! These are the pleasant experiences. Often people hear the crackling sound before being touched.
In bad paranormal cases, people will get hurt. They will be scratched or choked. There have been cases where marks appear on the victim’s neck right in front of witnesses while the victim is being strangled. In some instances, burns will appear on the skin. I have witnessed this myself. You are more likely to hear the crackling sounds when malevolent activity takes place.
Another element of the paranormal you may experience after the crackling sound is the movement of objects. Something may fall from a shelf or even fly across the room. There will be no wind or ground shaking to make this happen. There is another energy at work.
Sometimes the crackling sound will be followed by whispering voices. No one can seem to find the source of the voices. The phantom conversation is difficult to make out, and it is not uncommon for people to say they can’t understand what is being said.
What causes the crackling noise? Why does it precede paranormal activity? Why don’t we always hear it? There are a few potential explanations. First, in poltergeist cases, there is always some sort of high geomagnetic, electromagnetic, or hydroelectric energy. Perhaps the entities need this energy to interact with us. Somehow the entities draw on the energy to get strength to manifest. Maybe when the entities are fully charged, we hear the crackling sound. Perhaps it is like lightning where the strength of the charge is too much for the atmosphere’s insulating properties. Again, it could be that when the entity is charged up, we hear the crack and then the energy is released. So we hear it before paranormal manifestation because it shows something is fully charged which then leads to activity. When the sound is not heard, it does not mean that the charge has not taken place. It may mean that it is not over charged, so we don’t hear it every time.
Sound is only one component of paranormal activity. However it is an important one. It demonstrates that a process is happening which involves energy. It is clear that somehow ghosts, spirits, etc. need energy to manifest and interact. Entities are able to tap into energy sources to draw power. How exactly they do that we do not know. There are theories of somehow linking with the energy through consciousness. But for now, we do not have the answers. As you study more about the paranormal, you see how complicated and fascinating it is. It is not ‘woo woo.’ It is real and involves a lot of the hard sciences.
